A JOAN CRAWFORD must see film as it solidified her career as a major star, from the silents right through to the early 70's. It's not a great film but one that can't be ignored if a true film buff and film historian. Diana is a dancing twenty's flapper who sets her sights on Ben (Johnny Mack Brown), but he's foisted into a marriage with a woman with a hard drinking problem. But this is hardly the story of this picture. It involves a lot more. It's all quite unbelievable to see Crawford as the quintessential flapper.
