Y'know, this film was better than I expected, especially after all of the disparaging reviews that I have seen in the media. Among other things, I felt that the portrayal of marital relationships had a ring of truth. For another, having had business dealings in the middle east, including in the United Arab Emirates, I felt that the portrayal of middle-eastern culture also had a ring of truth, including the idea that one can be arrested for kissing in public, and the idea that misbehaviour can result in the summary cancellation of any agreements. The suggestion that many of the serving staff are in fact guest workers, able to see their wives and families back in their home countries only infrequently, also rang true. On the downside, the idea that Samantha could get away with spreading condoms around in the souk was really quite over the top, as was the portrayal of the shenanigans in the night club with the singing and sexual innuendo. But there was also a considerable amount of "low comedy" which kept things interesting. Yeah, go and see it, and have fun! But it is definitely "18A" adult entertainment.
