    Star Trek: Into Darkness

You might enjoy this movie more if you knew nothing about the Star Trek series. The CGI was very impressive throughout. I decided to try out the 3-D version and found it was good (Still not worth three bucks more) The storyline was a little too predictable. This new Kirk is nowhere near as charismatic as Shatner's portrayal. Shatner was always using his intellect tempered with compassion which Spock could never understand. This new guy is like a Jimmie Dean or Fonzie type person who is a rebel that breaks all the rules. And for the new Spock, well, he showed more emotions in this flick than all the other movies & TV shows put together. The bad guy was a good villain. And as always the "chicks" were just fluff on the screen. So ignore the previous Star Treks and you might enjoy this more. (Kind of like Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes) Note to Lt. O'hura--Spock can speak Klingon too.
