Decent, truthful acount of what it all sets out to do, but one little hitch! I'm not at all interested in rap music... especially as it has evolved down to our day and age. I say take a PASS unless RAP is your game.

I disagree. Rap music has not devolved, if you listen to any current rap artist they are doing great new things. For someone who has no interest in rap music, you sure have a strong opinion on it. Please prove me wrong, and tell me that you have listened to a wide spectrum of rap music, and has critically come to this conclusion of the devolvement of this genre. Everyone is allowed their own opinions, but these opinions need substance and back up. I would recommend this movie to anyone, regardless of your interest in this genre. It's a great film that talks about a group of artist who brought west coast rap into the scene.
I don't know what you mean that rap music has not DEVOLVED! That doesn't make any sense. I said I don't like the way RAP has EVOLVED through the years. I'm in my 30's and just don't care for it! I basically was dragged to the doc by my some younger friends. I've heard enough to know it's not my taste. I'm a classical buff!
Why use the word down after evolved... that just makes it sounds like you are generalizing the whole genre. Also with your sentence," I'm not at all interested in rap music... especially as it has evolved down to our day and age", was not a personal statement. Like I said before, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and rap is not your thing and that's fair. Right now I'm not attacking your opinion but rather questioning your choice of word use. I know a bunch of 30+ individuals who appreciate both classic and contemporary rap and individuals who share your opinion.
Lies, you're berating him because you disagree with his down vote. Notice how some people who had a negative review to say about this movie got "replies" (aka; attacks)
Then why watch the movie?
Not that it's any of your business, but I was basically forced to see the film by younger friends. I don't care for the music though I've been exposed to it long enough! I'm 36 and into a higher, purer form of music... classical... symphonic and opera.
