The 1955 version of The Deep Blue Sea never really made much of an impact as they're is so little action that ensues in the film. It stars the brilliant Vivien Leigh at a crossroads in her career. This story of a woman leaving her powerful husband for the lover she adores simply didn't match the ferocity of her other roles. The Deep Blue Sea by Terrence Rattigan, the playwright works best as a theatrical drama on stage.
