This film was well executed but I had wished it had more technical detail than it did. That was its only short-coming for me. The invention of the Turing machine should not have been a sidebar prop. But I get why not everybody would have appreciated the "TMI" techie detail. Sad really, because that was an essential part of the story, just as the first atom bomb was in the various film accounts of the Manhattan Project. (Remember implosion vs. explosion? ) That said, Cumberbatch did a fine job with playing the role of Turing, and the film's sets were believable.
