One of a number of films Don Bluth made after leaving Disney (An American Tail was another), this film tells a good story with good pace. It is not the high energy, high wit production we've seen recently out of Pixar, nor the musical masterpieces Disney had in the mid to late 80's, but it is a good children's film, with plenty of drama.
