It was just OK. It had a standard storyline with no surprises. At times I wondered who made Cage's wig or "weave". The acting was good especially by the lead character, who was a nerd. Why on earth would the dumb blonde be attracted to him is beyond me. He was socially inept and bailed on her several times... without excuses given or repercussions. That romantic element of the movie to me was a FAIL. The special effects were good, but nothing new or spectacular. It was a standard action flick with little creativity. I was left to wonder why the evil demons would use satellite dishes to bounce their powers!?! I also questioned their assorted costumes in that they were a thousand years old etc... but no biggie... These are a few of the reasons I give it a 5.

Man... you look at too many movies...
Maybe just maybe, and don't quote me on this but maybe he bailed on her because he's trying to keep the secret that he's the sorcerer's apprentice prehaps to protect her. It's the same idea as being a super hero.
Not sure what you mean. I usually see a movie a week... no biggie.

Click here to show this comment. Kyle I certainly understand your response and its sarcasm. And like Spider-man secrets have to be kept. The difference in these two movies is that Parker had a long time relationship with the girl and she "loved" him even though he was distant to her. In the Apprentice movie they had NO relationship except for her seeing him pee his pants at age ten. (allegedly) For this couple to start dating needed a little more intimacy first, THEN he could bail on her because of his secret life. There was little effort in this movie to build up their relationship with each other. Why would any female tolerate a guy who consistently bails on her when they have never had a real date? He put her in an electrical Cage... big deal. So to summarize I understand the super hero part, I just don't get why any female would be attracted to someone who was so "thoughtless" and seemingly inept in the relationship. This aspect of the movie could easily have been built up with one or two scenes where they are drawn together... maybe he saves her drowning puppy... In this movie he helped fix her radio station, and later plays her music.. If it was that easy to get a beautiful intelligent woman... maybe just maybe Kyle you could get a girl friend too... (Just kidding... lol)
Jay hooks up with all hot blondes. Case in point "She's out of My League" but at least there they gave an ok reason why she wanted to be with him. Here there is none of that, or much else. Cage is going down a slippery slope and I'm wondering when he will go strait to DVD with Val Kilmer and Steven Seagal. I gave this a 4.
