I see that the film is already winding down in the city after such a short time. That's a shame just like the modest number of people in the audience the day I saw it. It's not a "mass appeal" movie. It's good entertainment with a message for us all. I really thought it's a gem compared to most of what is out there. Never quite appreciated 3D until I saw its use in this movie.

Dear namudar@, Greetings & good evening & YES, I agree with you completely! "The Young and Prodigious T. S. Spivet" is, as it were, a pearl cast before swine--to people who have absolutely NO appreciation for the beautiful & simple things of life but, rather, who prefer all the "glitter & glamor" of guns & bloodshed. However, these days movies are manufactured en mass & are NOT (generally) made with morality as their backbone or with a sense of beauty (whatever you perceive that to be) & enjoyment for the simple (yet profound) wisdom of youth. Thank you for sharing your honesty, sincerity & intergrity... Very best wishes from vance.watt@
Vance, many thanks for this and to Bernie for reviving the film at his cinema. Mine and others reviews are a little less lonely now... :-)
