I really enjoyed this movie. After a bad experience with guest services at the cinema, I sat back, relaxed and really enjoyed the flick. If you're looking for a new romance tale though, you will be disappointed. What sets YJHD apart from past Bollywood romances is the great chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika, and the added friendship and relationship tracks courtesy Kalki, Aditya and Javed Shaikh. Ayan's treatment of this oft told before tale is what makes it super-enjoyable, along with the great songs (courtesy Pritam) and cinematography. My two major grouses with the film include the excessive alcohol consumption in nearly every scene and the regular sexual references. Yes, we live in the 21st century, but for a film that purports to be wholesome family entertainment, how about a little less promotion of these adult themes to youngsters. At one point, I was wondering how much the alcohol industry paid Dharma Productions and Eros Entertainment for the shameless promotion.
