X-Men: Apocalypse

I'm usually a pretty open-minded and positive reviewer but I can't manage much enthusiasm in order to encourage people to go see it. I found it to be dark and depressing pretty much all the way. The violence is extreme, the special effects are extreme although some are original and I guess somewhat brilliant. I've seen the whole series but I'm sad to say it stops here for me. Just a wee bit of kindness and compassion, a wee bit of comedy and the rest, maybe 95% is violence and combat. It's still the same message, there is strength in a united front, but when the villain is in every scene and it's his ugliness that's the main image, sorry but count me out. No offense XMen and XWomen but here is where we part ways.
