The story of the 47 Ronin is one of the most cherished stories of loyalty, honour and sacrifice in Japanese history. And I can't see how this story can pay homage to that beloved story. A white dude leading a group of samurai to honour and glory. I actually found it a bit racist and as a conquered group from WW II, I guess the must capitulate to their conquerers. I guess in 40 years China will remake George Washington's famous cross in got the Delaware with a few Chinese soldiers leading the way in his boat.
