This film starts out sluggishly, but once it gets into gear it becomes a guessing game of who can out wit who, which leads to a walloping crescendo ending. This is Seymour Hoffman's film all the way through. I could not get over though how his character mirrored his own off screen persona, scruffily dressed, chain smoking hard drinking tortured man. And it saddened me... as I could not separate the two. This being his last "starring role movie", he nailed it with his brilliance. And I'm sure the Academy will not forget this performance come Oscar time... Thank you P. S.H. You were one of the "Greatest Actors of All Time"!"
