At first, I thought this was another remake of the Budd Schulberg story. I guess this means that it was predictable. It was an interesting movie with some competent acting, Jesse Eisenberg playing a younger, better looking version of Allen with his stereotypically idiosyncratic speech. Stewart was subtle and fascinating, a solid performance. There wasn't enough original material to make this interesting, except for die hard Allen fans who are naturally curious about any film he makes.
