I'd rate this movie a 9.5... it's really great. Not only is it a kick-ass superhero movie, it's also a pretty intelligent political thriller, which is unusual for the comic-hero genre. However therein lies one of the small quibbles I have with the story. We all know that Captain America can't die and so it's hard to take any danger he's in very seriously... we know he's going to come through, However it would have made a lot of sense to put him in _moral_ danger. Steve Rogers is a man out of time, and it would have been easy to put his character at odds to modern times... and have him to some degree going along with the villain's point of view. Given the somewhat murky moral compass of the Black Widow, this angle would have genuinely put us on the edge of our seats. But really, the movie is so well done in practically every way it seems petty to complain. I'm also getting on board for a Black Widow stand-alone movie, even though I'm not particularly a Scarlett Johannson fan. I'm also liking Anthony Mackie as the Falcon... all the characters in the movie are given a lot of depth without it seeming heavy-handed, but Mackie in particular. There are _two_ after-credit scenes, so don't rush away right after the main movie ends...
