Dough is a comedy/drama about a Jewish baker whose business is on the decline in London's East End getting to know and eventually befriending a Muslim refugee from Darfur who helps restore his business. It's a sweet story about friendship and forgiveness; how people are never perfect, but a true friend can accept the shortcomings of another when the friendship is strong enough to weather a storm. A good and not "too sappy" lesson in not judging people based on stereotypes but by the content of their character, realizing as humans the things we have in common can outweigh our differences, and all money is not "good" money. I would recommend it to teach the young and remind the old that it is never too late to learn about people who do not look or act like you and the best way to learn is through good old fashioned human-to-human interactions.
