Ok, so I’m biased towards war movies, but I really liked this series. It was the first movie I've seen recently that acknowledged and explored Germany's views and role in the Second World War. It had 5 very engaging and nicely written storylines that intersected at ideal sections throughout the saga. The majority of the series focuses on Barbarossa and the transition of the 5 young friends in the slaughterhouse that became the Eastern front and the effects it had on the soldiers, the populous, and the nations that were affected by the carnage. If you’re a fan of the genera and the history, I highly recommend this series.
