This is a long movie but I was riveted to the screen. Paul Gross has made a masterpiece as a Canadian war movie. It has such a Canadian feel to it... in a good way. Not having been there myself, I feel as though understand the Canadian military position and why most Canadian military would go back for a second tour willingly. Action!!! Yes... and pretty realistic on all sides. Good Muslims, bad Muslims and even a funny Muslim... a very useful guy for the intelligence man Paul Gross but the banter between them is great. I don't know how much play this movie would get in the USA as it is not an American war story... but they should see it as well. Perhaps it will get Oscar honors as a foreign film come Oscar night... it is that good of a movie.
