A wonderful film. Kristin Scott-Thomas is even better than her usual brilliant self, and the rest of the cast is very good. The script is a gem of movie-writing: no false crescendo, manufactured emotion or dramtics, the crucial information doled out sparingly to keep us hooked. The characterisations are also all very well done. In short, a triumph of European film making, almost nobody in Hollywood could make a film this good, this moving, this subtle. Do NOT miss it.
