I read many of the reviews before going in. Essentially I agree with most of the commentary in here, once I weed out the chronic bad reviewers i.e. people who either give EVERY movie a ten or a one... It is an action flick and has some fine fight scenes. Some viewers are concerned about the little girl doing most of the damage. Some viewers think it is great that the little girl does most of the damage... Although I enjoy this genre of film this one was just "fine". If for a moment you could imagine that the little girl was older or a guy doing the same stuff, then the value of the film loses its appeal. In my opinion this aspect can only hold its own for so long. The sound track was great. The acting was peachy, maybe with the exception of Nicholas Cage. His final scene was terrible. The fight scenes and the kill shots were nice but nothing really new. As one reviewer commented it might have been better if the main storyline was about the girl and her dad rather than the pubescent teen (by the way he is also a lead in Nightmare on Elm street) So for fans of the genre you will enjoy it... but you might want to save your money and wait for Iron Man II.
