Classified as a horror film, 'King Kong' will delight the hearts of all who believe that animals deserve the same respect and dignity one would give to their human neighbours. Perhaps that is the problem. The film, 80 years old now, gives away nothing to computer generation nor to drama, natural settings, human and environmental concerns, and the mysteries of this planet. Film and the human race have come a long way since 1933, and still have a considerable distance to go.
