    L'Attentat

The movie looks at both sides of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, a truly sad conflict to which there seems no end in sight. The movie also makes a subtle point that people who want to lead 'normal' lives can try very hard but still be caught in the middle. The protagonist is an Arab doctor living in Israel. I cannot believe that some reviewer called him a wimp. It is hard to go back to a 'normal' life and live with being called a traitor by one side and a spy by the other. Perhaps some day Israel will loosen its paranoid control over Palestinian territories and Palestinians will stop murderous attacks on Israelis, and both will realize that they have to live right next to each other. Until then, movies like this one and documentaries like 'The Gatekeepers' are a good way to atleast attempt to understand the other's point of view.
