Based on true events, Lone Survivor is suspenseful, well acted, and emotional. It tells the story of four Navy SEALS sent into the forests of Afghanistan to kill or capture a Taliban leader. Let me tell you, it is brutal. It is not for everyone, but for those who can sit through the brutality, this movie is definitely worth watching. The performances are all very convincing, drawing you into the movie, making you feel like you were watching the real events unfold. You will be on the edge of your seat, holding your breath, and gripping the armrests of your chair for almost the entire two hours. The action is very intense and the way it was handled by the director and the actors is enough to bring the intensity of the movie to the level it is at. Lone Survivor is also very emotionally demanding, and by the end credits, or even before, you've been through an emotional ordeal yourself. My only complaint is that other than conveying that these people were real, the movie didn't do enough to develop some of them as characters, and I feel that these men had so much more depth to them than the movie showed. Overall, Lone Survivor is intense, emotional, and is a well acted, well executed movie about leadership and brotherhood. This is a must see movie.
