This is by far the worst Superman movie of modern times. The script is lacking in depth and the acting is extremely poor and wooden. The villain is not believable and neither is Superman. Take away all the shots of crashing through buildings and the endless fights, and we are left with a story that would fit nicely into a one hour movie. The actors who played Superman's earth step-parents were totally miscast, as was Lois Lane. It was as though all the actors were so pleased to be in a Superman film that they did not need to act, just let the special effects carry the film. The only thing I was impressed with was Superman's parents and their preparation to send their son into space. That scene was realistic and touching. The rest was not worth seeing.
