Hostess Mary Dwight of the Club Intime ( Davis) remains quiet when a murder is discovered, not wanting to say a thing when one of her clients is murdered afraid to go after the big boss of the club. It becomes a totally different kettle of fish when the younger sister is found murdered. Mary is then out for blood, no matter the cost. This stereotypical picture is highlighted by Bette's fierce performance in exacting justice turning it into quite a decent film.
