Oz the Great and Powerful

Good movie, well done. It was good to see James Franco in an upbeat role like this. I didn't think Mila Kunis was particularly convincing as a fairytale witch. She's much better at playing tormented or decadent like in Black Swan. Judging by the trailer, I thought the movie would be more somber, with a more adult audience in mind. As it was I thought it was more intended to appeal to children or a very young crowd. Although there is some humor in it, it is very very far from the humor of Shrek for example. I regretted not seeing it in 3D as the effects were visually appealing.
