Particle Fever

I walked into this movie knowing nothing about it and was a bit blown away by how good it was. Real science happening in almost real time. I think they made very judicious choices about what to include, as there was obviously so much else that was going on. You got to get views on various people involved, and what motivated and excited them, and it was infectious. They did a nice job of explaining current issues in cosmology in a nutshell, and they gave enough information about the technology to be interesting and informative without drowning you in either detail or jargon. The movie seemed to have a well articulated sense of just what they wanted to say, while at the same time being a documentary about the uncertainties and the ongoing huge questions that are still being revealed. We were left hungry for much, much more of the ongoing story, but also inspired in many ways that we carried out of the movie and hopefully into our lives.
