    Starting Out in the Evening

Good performances by Adrian Lester and Frank Langella but that is about all I can say was worthwhiile about this too slow paced, boring movie. The writing was not that clever and the female leads' were at best mediocre. The constant facial close-ups were annoying too. It was set on the Upper West Side but one would never know it as the camera work never seemed to get more than two feet away from the actors. Save this one for rental and then only if you've seen everything else.
