Wow! First of all, one of the most memorable movie beginnings that I can remember. Even though you think you know the story, this movie plays like a thriller. Big up to Eastwood on this one: he is a master story teller, and the direction was impeccable. Hanks was tremendous as Sully, a resolute and determined hero played with just the right amount of pathos and heat. The only weak spot was Linney as Sully's wife, she telephoned it in (pun intended.) Otherwise, prepare to be stimulated and astounded.
