If you're like me and loved the first movie, you'll be somewhat disappointed for the first half of the movie. Frankly, pre-interval it is a bore and you've seen all the best scenes in the trailer up until that point. Post-interval, it gets really entertaining and Kangna really, really shines. She carries the film on her very capable shoulders for most of the second-half, and makes you fall in love with her Datto character. The director makes a few important social statements about female empowerment, patriarchal societies and the fragility of relationships when people aren't trying to make them work. I just wish the first half was as entertaining as the second. And, the first movie definitely had better overall music.
