The re-teeming of Astaire and Rogers in 1949, was the last film they made together. It's the only film they made together in technicolour. It's a fair film that hasn't the charisma of the two legendary stars from their great films at RKO Studios during the 1930's. The singing and dancing are fine, but too much time had passed since their last pairing. It's all rather anticlimactic as an Astaire Rogers feature. By the way, they made a great screen couple through all their iconic films, but they didn't get along that well in life. I believe Ginger was rather annoyed that Fred got the bulk of the praise." I do everything he does, she is quoted as saying," but I have to do it in high heels."
