Equalizer? More like Exaggerator. Love Denzel Washington movies as well as over-the-top action scenes, but they stretched this beyond comprehension. It felt like watching a Transformer's movie packed into a super human body. The plot in itself doesn't really make sense - Random dude decides to save a random girl which basically translates into taking out an entire Russian mob. I can sort of play with that, until you realize that Denzel has mutant powers and can appear randomly and bypass security and destroy people without close to no guns (the Russian guys kinda suck... no offence) Don't even get me started with character depth. There ain't any. On the other side, if you want to watch a movie with tons of action, cool music while seeing Denzel walk in slow motion, then you'll have a blast. I give it a 6.5 for the exaggerated plot, but 8 for action.
