Absurd. Pointless. Meaningless. Apparently Luc Besson thought that a film about his misconceptions of Americans' misconceptions of the French (and vice-versa) is somehow 'deep" and even poignant. Wrong, Luc. The acting couldn't save this nonsensical piece of garbage; neither could the silly "action" violence. The basic premise, that the FBI, dumb as they no doubt are, would be so stupid as to plant a family in the Witless Protection Program in a place in which they would stick out like a pacifist in the White House, is beyond belief. The absurdity of it qualifies this lame flick as a fantasy, and not a very good one. Somebody should tell Besson that The Godfather was made a long time ago and that "Mafia" movies are irrelevant now that the Italian mobs are nearly non-existent. Somebody should also tell him that HE is irrelevant too, and will continue to be so if this is the best he can do.
