    The Hunger Games

I didn't read the books, but my kids loved the books, and the movies. But for me, I had to ask my kids why they had to have the Hunger games. The characters weren't fully developed so the bad guys didn't seem as bad as they could have been, and consequently good guys weren't as great as they could have been as well. Over all, a horrific concept told in a bland manner, but will be popular to the tween and teen masses. A more adult version of this would be Battle Royale out of Japan. Make sure no children are present for this one. If you had to choose between this movie or Act of Valor, I'd choose the Hunger Games.
