    The Imitation Game

A docu-drama that should never have been necessary. Regrettably it was and is. The focus of the story is a social misfit, sexually unacceptable to the ruling class, and an indivdual who waivered between the apex and nadir of an almost bi-polar personality. Director Morten Tyldom doesn't waste a second of viewer's time here, using just under two hours to tell us about a lifetime of trials and tribulations of this brilliant man whose style generally obscured the human being underneath. Benedict Cumberbatch plays the role with the fervor of a man possessed and the supporting cast don't get in his way.
