Transformers 4 is exactly what you expect it to be. Big explosions? Check. Horrible dialogue? Check. Fun entertainment? Check. Seriously, I really don't need to even review this movie in the first place. If you enjoy the first three Transformers movies, this will be heaven for you. I might as well get into a bit of detail before you guys hang me by my throat. The plot follows Mark Wahlberg as a mechanic who suddenly discovers the body of Optimus Prime. Once he finds the body, lots of trouble ensues with the government, the FBI and creatures from another planet. First things first, the special effects, 3-D and IMAX were absolutely breathtaking. This is some of the best special effects I've ever seen in my entire life. If you do see this movie, see it in 3-D. The plot of this movie is incredibly convoluted, with so much going on at once that I actually got extremely confused. This is one of the biggest downsides to the movie. The writing this movie is absolutely horrendous, with some of the cheesiest lines I've ever heard. Most of the acting was absolutely horrible, especially the girl who played Mark Wahlberg's daughter. To add to that, this is one of the longest movies I think I have ever seen. This movie could've ended so many times that would've been perfect, but it just kept going. With all this negativity, you may ask yourself why am I giving this a positive score? Well, Transformers 4 is pure entertainment. The action scenes were absolutely incredible, and the special-effects were a feast for your eyes. Though the story is convoluted, it is still quite fun. The humour in this movie is the best out of the series, with much less stupid jokes. This movie also proves to be one of if not the best film in the series. Overall, Transformers 4 is very fun, but it has so many problems that it's hard to ignore. If you enjoy the Transformers movies, this will be very fun for you. RATING: 6/10.
