A somewhat innovative approach to filming here with entire movie having been shot in one take, although this plan has been applied previously in Hitchcock's Rope and in Russian Ark. The gimmick is not noticeable in a compelling story that involves a young Spanish woman who places herself in harms way one night in the streets of Berlin. The audience is given a pretty big hook to swallow in being invited to accept that a young woman who meets four strangers would willingly enter such a potentially dangerous situation. However, the film defies typical convention by changes in tone which involve late-night shenanigans, a budding romance and a final act involving criminality. Laia Costa as the title character is playful, intense and highly emotional in the next-to-final scenes. This actress could have a bright future.
