This dystopian movie contains dark revelations of Man's inhumanity to creatures. Directed by Hungarian Kornel Mundruczo, the scenes of dogs run amok provide an unforgettable impact. The movie has been compared to The Birds and could also be called "Lassie goes Bonkers." There's a metamessage: the film represents the revenge of the oppressed classes upon the ruling elite. The ending is genuinely heartfelt. Interestingly, no cgi trickery was employed, i.e. over 250 canines were trained by Hollywood's veteran trainer Teresa Ann Miller and none were hurt during the shoot. Afterwards, they were all provided with good homes.
