Which one of us hasn’t found themselves in predicaments where we felt just like a powerless pawn in the hands of some person with ‘authority’ who followed the ‘rules’ of his employer blindly, without the least humanity? It can be very frustrating. In that amazing movie -- which last year reaped 23 wins and 38 nominations in different festivals and film events – we follow about a dozen colourful characters who totally lose control and unleash their resentment in different ways…… depicted in six stories which are either funny, violent, thought-provoking, engaging and/or irreverent – yet always surprising and very entertaining. Argentinian Damián Szifrón's movie somewhat made me think of the films of Tarentino and Almodóvar -- who happens to be one of its producers. I fully agree with what a clever reviewer wrote : "--If you didn't like this film then you probably work for a towing company or another government bureaucracy."
