I read so many bad reviews about this film before I saw that I was expecting something tripe and boring. What a surprise! This movie actually is good. Of course you have to get rid of that Hollywood mentality where you expect the good to win out in the end leaving you superficially satisfied. First off this is a true story. The actors, whoever they are, were amazing. It was as if someone had turned on a camera and we were watching real life events take place. Hitchcock once said that real horror is when bad things happen to normal people and bad things happpened to these young kids who went out in the Australian outback. The brilliance of the movie happens when we actually get to decide whether the story that was told was real or not. Whether or not the bad guy really existed or not. It makes you think and that's why I now realize that all of the bad reviews must have been from people who probably leave their brains at the door of the Cinema each and every time expecting special effects and your typical Friday 13th or Halloween fare. Once again, Boo!
