Russel Crowe received an Oscar nomination for his work in Gladiator and I wondered why. The whole movie was a poor man's version of Brave Heart and his performance was deeply lacking. But in A Beautiful Mind, Crowe redeems himself like never before. His performance in this film is likely to bring yet another Oscar nomination, but one I would gladly stand behind. Ron Howard did a fabulous job as director and to his credit, he has once again taken a serious subject and created a story that evokes a true gamet of emotions. He too is sure to receive a nomination of his own. Jennifer Connelly is not on my favourite's list but has also managed to redeem herself since her Rocketeer movie. I'm glad she finally decided to trim the bushes above her eyes for this movie!! All round excellent movie... !
