Seldom do lawyers get a fair shake and that is for good reason. Often, money is their only motivation but in this film, Al Pacino plays a lawyer forced into a situation that pits him against all of the injustice that he sees in his own life, but strangely enough, it is justice for justice's sake and not for the truth. This film reveals the truth behind the law where all amiguities are points of arguement for non-sentencing rather than for clarification and correction. The violent and passionate displays in the case are valid in his character and gives resistance to the steamrolling kind of justice that has had corrupted lives of so many. But ultimately, this film isn't about justice. It's about passion and making a difference and this film makes you want to stand up and shout for whatever it is in your life that has irritated you and to want to do something about it. Very thought provoking and riveting acting.
