When we identify with a character, we want to believe that they are real and have a connection with us. What is not so great about two kind hearted convicts who want bigger and better but don't want to kill anyone, they just want the money and a good woman. Well, one woman per man guys. Great film. Love triangle that ultimately ends in the winner being Cate Blanchett, the banks money is gone and the bad guys are dead but live and everyone lives happily ever after. Funny and untrue but a great entertainment event that continues long after the movie is over. You can't help wanting to own this film and turn it on every couple of months or so just to watch Billy Bob Thorton smell burnt toast and collapse on the restaurant floor and then crash out of the plate glass window moments later. Way too much fun! I think that Billy Bob Thorton and Bruce Willis could easily be paired up in another film and watch their chemistry feed inspire another box office hit. The saliva bit is extremely erotic and totally unexpected. Great scriptwriting.
