    Joy

There is so much going on in David O. Russell's JOY that I don't think one particular label would qualify the entire film. The breathless, head long style of the feature creates a buzz that both stimulates and causes a wrenching experience of the first order. Based on true events of a not too distant past, the film offers a variety of sturdy, delicious, supporting players who range the gamut of emotions, but when all is said and done the movie belongs to Jennifer Lawrence at all times... whether in its quirky disarray or in its bundle of near brilliant repute.
