George C. Scott gives an amazing portrayal of one of the most colorful military characters of the Second World War. Just the opening sequence in the first five minutes of the film alludes to greater things to come. 2 gun Patton as he was called because he wore to pearl handled Colt revolvers revolutionized modern tank warfare. A five star general he cut his way through Nazi Germany in some of the most strategic battles of the war. With General Omar Bradley and Dwight D. Eisenhour Patton was a man who could get impossible things done just by his sheer determination not to fail. Patton is one of the best war movies ever made with George C. Scott giving one of the best performances of his long career in the movies.
