A good film that does not lose its lustre seeing it on DVD. This film which could have been the directorial debut of Nicholas Cage is a good solid one with a terrific cast of pros and young actors. Brena Blethyn gives a great performance and Harry Dean Stanton provides his usual laconic acting style. What is really surprising is seeing a really young James Franco when he was making films of worth instead of the nonsense with which he is involved nowadays. I was amazed to see Mena Suvari as I didn't realize she was filming some thirteen years ago.
