This is an okay film with a few good scenes of suspense but it's no JAWS. As I watched the film I couldn't help but wonder why the actress in the film would venture out to a deserted beach in the middle of nowhere and go surfing all by herself. It's a pretty dumb thing to do as far as I'm concerned and that makes having any sympathy for the character all the more difficult. Still, the movie's about survival and fighting for your life against nature. The shark in the film is a mean looking one and quite large at that but it's still a stupid animal that only wants to eat. In this case, lunch is a half naked woman stranded on a rock in a place she had no business going to.
