    The Shop Around the Corner

Margaret Sullivan and Jimmy Stewart are perfectly cast and have such chemistry in this delightful, romantic comedy by the great Ernst Lubitsch. It literally sparkles with joy. Take a look at how romantic unknown pals corresponded way back in 1940, decades before the age of the internet. It all looked quite lovely and innocent as compared to the onslaught of dating in 2016. Not everything NEW is an improvement. A charming film loved since it was made 76 years ago.
