The biggest reason why "The Social Network" is so mesmerizing, and entertaining is because of its characters and how David Fincher uses his characters. First of all, the acting was astounding and one of the greatest ensembles of the year. Not one actor performed poorly, and with that came a great screenplay. The combination of having great actors perform amazingly, and a screenplay that is brilliant results in a strong, believable picture. Andrew Garfield stole the show, and Jessie Eisenberg was awesome. Overall, it wasn't an amazing film, nor was it a complete masterpiece such as many critics are raving. "The Social Network" soared deep within its characters, and the characters performed greatly with the support of an unbelievable script. This film was about character because it involves Facebook which is a personal-like network that is used by millions today. This film needed character, and that's what it has. All in all, it's not the best picture of the year, it's just a greatly executed film with an amazing screenplay.
