During the 1950's some of the best science fiction films were produced in the U. S. "Them" was one of the best movies in this genre. Giant ant mutations produced by underground atomic bomb testing sparks a wide swath of death and destruction. The thing that sets this movie apart is for what you don't see, letting our imaginations run wild until the monsters make their appearance. Great special effects for the time makes for eerie imaginative story telling. In glorious black & white "Them" is well worth a look.
